Ben Cropp explores world famous Sydney Harbour, examining the local sea life, shipwrecks and surrounding area. We discover plenty of unusual things underneath the magnificent skyline as Ben presents a fascinating history and comes face to face with some unexpected wildlife.
Diving into the waters of the harbour, Ben captures stunning footage of a range of animals including jellyfish, seahorses and turtles. He also films the dangerous creatures that lurk in the deep such as Bull Rays and Greynurse sharks, recounting the tragic story of the last fatal shark attack in Sydney Harbour in 1963. While underwater Ben takes the opportunity to examine a range of shipwrecks, including a Japanese sub from WWII.
As evening descends the infrared camera comes out and we join a group of locals watching the penguin chicks scramble around. Ben takes his boat out into the harbour on Australia Day as crowds line the side, cheering the spectacular tall ships. Little Known Wonders of Sydney is a journey into the unknown parts of one of the most recognisable harbours in the world and includes a vast range of intriguing facts.
