Description

This is one of eight virtual dives developed by Scottish Natural Heritage exploring Scotland’s west coast. Burrowed mud is home to a wide range of marine animals, as well as providing a productive commercial fishery in Scotland. This virtual dive explores the Sound of Canna within the Small Isles Marine Protected Area. Discover some of the diverse marine life that lives in the Sound, including graceful northern feather stars, seapens, fireworks anemones and Scotland’s only colony of the rare and fragile fan mussel.
