This presentation is a small version on the filming of some of the wrecks from our Truk Lagoon project from 2011 to 2024 In 2005 I made the decision to go to video from still photography. Without a doubt it was a great move because it opened up opportunities like this project and the Yongala documentary. . Going back to the area time after time and recording the wrecks from stem to stern was every wreck divers dream. In the early days of the project we had the pleasure of Chenny Tipwek as our guide. He had worked with Klass Lindemann finding and re-finding many shipwrecks in the 1980’s and told us some great stories. Chenny passed away a while back. In 2017 we were lucky enough to re-find two wrecks that had not been dived for over 20 years. The Taiho Maru and a large deep sea trawler that had been taken over by the Japanese Navy. Some wonderful memories from a truly remarkable place #shipwrecks #truk
