Description

In this wreck hunting video we search for the wreck remains of the Cromdale, a large steel hulled sailing ship that hit the rocks along this stretch of coast in 1913.

Despite stories of its sinking and pictures of the ship aground here, there is currently no known sinking position or location of the wrecksite availble on the hyrdographic office database.
This whole area is rarely dived due to the strong tides and often rough weather that makes diving at this location very dangerous or impossible.

On a perfect weather day in June 2021 we soon locate its remains and find many identifiable parts of the wreck, include parts of the bow which give a positive identification, anchor, bollards, hull and deck winches.

Thanks for watching and don’t forget to subscribe we have many more wreck videos in the making.
