Indonesia Muck Diving Documentary – Lembeh Strait 2024

Muck Diving is often misunderstood by those who haven’t been. People often hear “muck” and think of a muddy, barren landscape, but that’s not what it really is. This video describes what muck diving is and shows examples of creatures often found while muck diving, while also describing various adaptive strategies these creatures use to survive. These strategies are tied to muck diving by linking the understanding of them to finding more of them while on muck dives.

All of the footage shot here was taken over 28 dives at Murex Bangka and Lembeh Resort during August and September of 2024. As always, a huge thanks to the dive guides for finding so many of these incredible species and making a video like this possible in the first place.
