Memories

I came across a couple of my old photographs recently, both from the fresh water and from the sea. They brought back memories of some of my pleasant adventures underwater but also of the fact how little I knew what I had been doing when I was making pictures underwater at that time.

I had a great (film) camera (Nikon F90X), a great housing (Sea&Sea NX-90PRO), acceptable lenses … but didn’t know what to do with them as it can be seen from the pictures. Anyway, they are memories from the places half way around the globe away and times years ago and I want to treat them as such.

Note: A funny thing, you can see letters/words in some of the pictures. They are reflections of my lens markings in the dome port. I fixed that later by covering the markings with a black tape.

We are looking around, the water seems to be quiet.

A couple of metres further we can see the reason for the rush … a pike in search for its prey.
